Next Frame Media collaborated with Father Jason Barone at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Highlands, NC, to produce a video (embedded below) to announce plans for a new baroque-style church in the town.

The 10-minute video describes a history of the role of buildings and architecture in Judeo-Christian tradition before summarizing types of architecture found in Catholicism throughout 2,000 years of the Church’s history.

Father Jason Barone also explains the significance of the Baroque style in the decision to choose that type of architecture which was common during the Catholic Counter-Reformation. He also gives a walkthrough of the proposed plans for the new church building.
